Lead Guitarist

Location: Revival House, Manor Park, London, E12 6QN Salary: £21,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (including evenings and weekends) Contract Type: Permanent About Revival House Revival House is a vibrant church community based in Manor Park, East London. We are committed to dynamic, contemporary worship and meaningful community engagement. Music forms a central part of our services, outreach programmes, and special events. The Role We are seeking a skilled and committed Lead Guitarist to support our worship ministry through regular performance and rehearsal participation. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of contemporary worship music in live congregational settings and work collaboratively within the church’s music team. This is a full-time employed position requiring reliability, musical competence, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
•   Provide lead guitar performance at weekly services and church events
•. Support the arrangement and preparation of music for live worship settings
•. Participate in rehearsals and contribute to maintaining musical standards
•  Work collaboratively with worship leaders and musicians
•. Maintain musical equipment and ensure readiness for services and events
•. Participate in occasional outreach and community events as required
Essential Criteria
•  Demonstrable experience performing guitar in live band settings
•  Proficiency in contemporary worship, gospel, or related genres
•. Ability to work as part of a structured music team
•. Good timing, improvisation, and ensemble skills
•. Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends
•. Strong communication and teamwork skills

Minister of Religion (Tier 2)  Children's Pastor

Location: Manor Park,Newham

Revival House is looking to recruit an experienced Minister of Religion to join our expanding team here at Revival House being in charge of the Children Ministry .

Duties include:
Preaching and Teaching:        Lead Bible-based teachings and sermons during children’s services.        Ensure teachings align with the church’s doctrine.
Music Ministry (Kiswahili):
      Teach children Christian songs in Kiswahili, integrating faith and culture.
       Encourage participation in music during services and events.
Youth Curriculum Management:
        Develop and implement the Sunday School curriculum across all children’s classes.
        Ensure consistency and alignment of lessons with biblical teachings.
Prayer Meetings:
        Organize and lead prayer sessions for children.
        Encourage children to develop a personal prayer life.
Discipleship and Ordinances:
       Lead discipleship programs, preparing children for baptism and Holy Communion.
       Assist with the administration of baptism and communion for children.
Safeguarding:
      Ensure full compliance with church safeguarding policies.
      Conduct regular safeguarding training for volunteers.
Support to Senior Pastor:
      Assist the senior pastor in reviewing and updating children's teachings and programs.
      Provide feedback on children’s spiritual growth and program effectiveness.
Pastoral Care:
      Conduct home visits to provide pastoral care to children and their families.
      Offer spiritual guidance and support during visits.

MINIMUM SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must be a Christian with Pentecostal background.
Must have 5 years’ experience working as a minister of religion working with Children.
Must be committed to Christ and, have a passion for the people
Living a Christian life following Christian conduct.
An understanding of and commitment to the church’s mission statement and core values. 
Must be self -motivated, takes initiative, has creative skills.
Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
A willingness to work within church policies. On time for services and other meetings as required by the Pastor.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read & write Kiswahili is also desirable

Terms of appointment:

POST: WORSHIP PASTOR

  • Assist the senior pastor in outreach program

  • Conduct Marital counselling.

  • Support our sick members spiritually through prayers and communion service.

JOB OVERVIEW

Revival House, a Pentecostal Church based in Manor Park, in the London Borough of Newham, UK, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth and Children’s Worker. This role is essential in engaging with children, young people, and their families, fostering their integration into the church community. Revival House serves a multi-ethnic congregation, with a particular focus on individuals from East Africa.

Salary: £19,188 per year
Hours: 30 hours per week (including weekends)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Youth and Children’s Worker will collaborate with the Lead Minister to implement and communicate the church’s vision for youth and children’s ministry. The role involves planning, coordinating, and leading activities that encourage spiritual growth and community engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop opportunities for youth and children to grow spiritually.
Plan and organise events that support young people, children, and their families.

Youth Minister (Tier 2)

Revival House wishes to appoint an experienced Youth Minister.

This post is key in enabling growth in the ministry and mission of Revival House amongst the young people in the church and our community, and their discipleship. This is a leadership position and so would encompass taking a lead role in the youth ministry in line with our vision as well as providing effective administration within the church. The post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, better enabling us to serve our community.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to communicate in both English and Swahili (written and spoken).
  • Be willing to train church volunteers in your specific area of specialism in ministry.
  • Be willing to train and mentor young people.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

  • Excellent communication skills with a flexible and friendly attitude with young people. .

  • Conduct the weekly worship services for the Youth Church.This will include preaching, leading prayers and training discipleship class.
  • To oversee and co-ordinate 2 curriculums for different youth age groups in the church during our weekend services. These aid worship, study, fellowship, parent’s involvement, service experiences, and other experiences that guide the youth as they grow in faith.
  • To oversee & support the leading of Swahili Learning Club.
  • To regularly communicate with parents, families, and youth ministry leaders regularly and intentionally in other churches, denominations, and non-profits, so that the youth have multiple opportunities to thrive.
  • Encourage spiritual growth of the youth and volunteers.
  • Seek creative methods to keep the youth motivated.
  • To ensure our safeguarding policy is implemented across all our work with youth.
  • To regularly train & support the volunteers of each of the youth groups.
  • To proactively help recruit volunteers and other helpers for our youth groups.
  • To explore ways in we can better serve the youth in our church and community.
  • To support the wider church teams and projects.
  • To support the current staff team in completing additional tasks, including specific support as required by the senior minister.
  • To complete all administrative tasks for the youth ministry
  • Keep an overall perspective of a quality, comprehensive ministry.

 

 

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

  • 3 years’ experience working in a Pentecostal church setting as a committed worker or volunteer in leadership.
  • Qualification in youth work and theology
  • Must be able to communicate in English & Swahili both in speaking & writing
  • Fixed Term contract of 3 years, with a probation period of 6 months.
