Purpose of the Role

The Keyboardist / Music Minister is responsible for supporting the worship ministry of Revival House Church through the ministry of music, providing skilled keyboard accompaniment and musical leadership during worship services, prayer meetings, evangelistic events, discipleship programmes, and other religious activities.

The purpose of the role is to facilitate meaningful congregational worship, helping create an atmosphere that encourages spiritual engagement and supports the church’s mission of advancing the Christian faith through worship, prayer, and biblical ministry.

Due to the continued growth of Revival House Church and the operation of regular worship services at both our London and Southend branches, the church requires two full-time Keyboardists / Music Ministers. Each post-holder will have primary responsibility for supporting the worship ministry within their assigned branch while working under the overall leadership of the Senior Pastor and the Music Director to ensure consistency in worship standards, ministry values, and musical excellence.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Keyboardist / Music Minister will:

  • Provide keyboard accompaniment during weekly worship services, prayer meetings, Bible studies, youth services, evangelistic events, conferences, and other church gatherings.
  • Support congregational worship by working closely with worship leaders, singers, musicians, and the Music Director.
  • Participate in regular worship rehearsals, music ministry planning meetings, and prayer gatherings.
  • Prepare and arrange musical accompaniments appropriate for Pentecostal worship services and special church events.
  • Support praise and worship during religious services, ensuring music enhances the spiritual experience of the congregation.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a high standard of musical excellence within the Worship Ministry.
  • Mentor, encourage, and provide practical support to volunteer musicians within the church, assisting in the development of their musical abilities and understanding of worship ministry.
  • Support evangelistic outreaches, community events, conferences, and special religious services through music ministry.
  • Assist during baptisms, weddings, funerals, dedication services, seasonal celebrations, and other religious ceremonies as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Audio Visual Team to ensure the effective delivery of worship services and ministry events.
  • Assist in maintaining musical equipment and ensuring instruments are prepared and available for all scheduled services and rehearsals.
  • Participate fully in the spiritual life of the church by attending prayer meetings, devotional gatherings, ministry training sessions, and worship team development activities.
  • Uphold the vision, values, doctrinal beliefs, and worship standards of Revival House Church in all aspects of ministry.

 

Terms of Appointment

 

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience serving within a Christian church in a worship, music, or ministry support capacity, either as an employee or committed volunteer.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting Christian worship services and other religious activities within a Pentecostal or evangelical church setting.
  • Appropriate training, qualifications, or proven experience relevant to the specific ministry role (e.g. music, worship ministry, or church ministry support).
  • A clear Christian testimony and commitment to the vision, values, doctrinal beliefs, and mission of Revival House Church.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, and members of the Worship Ministry.
  • Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract of up to 24 months under the Temporary Worker (Religious Worker) route, subject to the requirements of UK immigration legislation and the church’s employment policies.
  • The successful applicant will be subject to a six-month probationary period.
  • Employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, together with satisfactory references and verification of eligibility to undertake the role.

 

Nature of the Role

This is a full-time Temporary Worker – Religious Worker (Tier 5) position.

The role directly supports the religious mission of Revival House Church through the ministry of music and worship. The post-holder will contribute to the spiritual life of the church by providing musical leadership and accompaniment during worship services and other religious activities while serving under the direction of the Senior Pastor and the Music Director.

Each post-holder will have primary responsibility for the worship ministry within their designated branch. One Keyboardist / Music Minister will be based at the Manor Park, London branch, and one at the Southend branch, ensuring that both congregations receive consistent, high-quality musical support for worship services, prayer meetings, evangelistic outreach, and other church ministries.
