MUSIC DIRECTOR (Fluent in Swahili Language)

Role: Christian Music Director

Location: Manor Park, Newham

Hours: 30 hours per week – Flexible including weekends & Bank Holidays

Salary: £18,000

Revival House is a vibrant church that is experiencing growth in families and youth. We are looking to recruit an experienced religious worker – musician to join our expanding team here at Revival House Church. The applicant must be a proficient musician playing drums, percussion, cymbals, and either of the wind instruments such as flute, trumpet or clarinet. The applicant should also have computer literacy e.g. Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and other computer packages. The applicant should have relevant experience working within a Pentecostal church setting.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must be a Christian with a Pentecostal background.

• Must have experience and skills in drums/percussions.
• Must be committed to Christ and, have a passion for the Music Ministry of Revival House.
• Living a Christian life following Christian conduct.
• An understanding of and commitment to the church’s mission statement and core values.

• Must be self-motivated, takes initiative, has creative skills.
• Ability to work well with others, and be a team player.
• Ability & available to teach young people to play drums/ percussion & other instruments
• Ability to relate to and work with children and adults.
• A willingness to work within church policies. On-time for services and rehearsals and other times as required by Pastor.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to read & write Kiswahili is also desirable

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:

There is a probation period of six months

A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to the appointment
