Connect Groups Leader (Tier 2)
Location – Manor Park, Newham
Hours – 37.5 per week – Including weekends and some bank holidays
Salary – £21,000 per annum
Revival House wishes to appoint an experienced Connect Groups Leader.
This post is key in enabling growth in the ministry and mission of Revival House amongst the people in the church and our community, and their discipleship. This is a leadership position and so would encompass taking a lead role in the day-to-day running of the Connect Groups in line with our vision as well as providing effective administration within the church.
The post-holder will be proficient in Christian Education, be able to teach, must have a pastoral heart to care for others with strong interpersonal skills and the heart of a disciple of Jesus Christ.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to communicate in both English and Swahili (written and spoken).
- Be humble leader with a servant’s heart.
- Be willing to train church volunteers in your specific area of specialism in ministry.
- Be willing to train and mentor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To build on and further our current vision for the Connect Groups at Revival House
- To oversee all the Connect Groups; leading, equipping leaders, and members in the Connect Groups
- To implement and connect every worshipper in the church to the Connect Groups
- To plan and execute regular Connect Group training, ensuring the regular formation of Connect leaders.
- To identify, develop, and/or select Connect Group curriculum and study materials including overseeing/preparing Sunday sermon reflection questions for Connect Group discussion.
- To oversee the administration and running of the Connect Groups ministry.
- To project and maintain the annual plan and budget of the ministry
- To provide pastoral care and support in the church
- To visit Connect Groups and Connect Group Leaders
- Keep an overall perspective of a quality, comprehensive ministry.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
- 3 years’ experience working in a Pentecostal church setting as a committed worker or volunteer in leadership.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in theology studies
- Must be able to communicate in English & Swahili both in speaking and writing.
- Fixed Term contract of 3 years, with a probation period of 6 months.
- A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to appointment.
