PRAYER POINTS FOR HEALING.
Day 10 Of 21 Days Of Prayers And Fasting
God’s Heart and Provision for Healing.
Healing is not an isolated doctrine in Scripture; it is woven into the very fabric of God’s redemptive plan. From the beginning, God revealed Himself as a God of life, wholeness, and peace. When sin entered the world, it brought fragmentation spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Yet God’s response was not abandonment, but restoration.
In Exodus 15:26, God revealed His covenant name: “I am the LORD that healeth thee.” This declaration came before the law was fully established and before Israel ever entered the Promised Land. Healing was not conditional upon perfection but rooted in God’s nature. He is Jehovah the Lord who heals.
Healing reaches its fullest expression in Jesus Christ. Everywhere Jesus went, He healed the sick, restored the broken, and brought peace to troubled souls. Healing was not just something Jesus did; it was evidence of the Kingdom of God in operation. Jesus Himself said, “If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you” (Matthew 12:28). Healing is Kingdom activity.
The Bible teaches that healing was decisively secured through the finished work of the Cross. Isaiah prophesied it in the future tense, while Peter declared it in the past tense showing that healing is not something we are waiting for, but something we stand in.
It is important to understand that you do not have to be sick to pray for healing. Healing prayer is not merely a response to crisis; it is a confession of covenant truth. As believers, we pray healing prayers to affirm alignment with God’s Word and to maintain wholeness.
The word disease can be broken down as “dis-ease” a state of unrest, disorder, or lack of peace. Disease is not only physical; it can manifest as anxiety, emotional trauma, mental exhaustion, or spiritual weariness. Jesus did not only come to remove sickness; He came to restore us to divine ease, peace, and rest.
This is where confession becomes central to healing.
The Meaning of Confession — Homologeō
The New Testament word for confession is a Greek word homologeō, which means “to say the same thing,” “to agree with,” or “to speak in alignment with.” Biblical confession is not denial of symptoms; it is agreement with God’s truth over your life.
So When we confess healing, we are not pretending, we are aligning our words with God’s Word.
Faith-filled confession positions the believer to walk in what Christ has already accomplished. Healing prayers, therefore, are not desperate pleas; they are declarations of agreement with heaven.
