Youth Minister (Tier 2)
Location – Manor Park, Newham
Hours – 37.5 hours per week – Including weekends and some bank holidays
Salary – £20,500 per annum
Revival House wishes to appoint an experienced Youth Minister.
This post is key in enabling growth in the ministry and mission of Revival House amongst the young people in the church and our community, and their discipleship. This is a leadership position and so would encompass taking a lead role in the youth ministry in line with our vision as well as providing effective administration within the church. The post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, better enabling us to serve our community.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to communicate in both English and Swahili (written and spoken).
- Be willing to train church volunteers in your specific area of specialism in ministry.
- Be willing to train and mentor young people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To build on and further our current vision for the youth at Revival House
- Conduct the weekly worship services for the Youth Church.This will include preaching, leading prayers and training discipleship class.
- To oversee and co-ordinate 2 curriculums for different youth age groups in the church during our weekend services. These aid worship, study, fellowship, parent’s involvement, service experiences, and other experiences that guide the youth as they grow in faith.
- To oversee & support the leading of Swahili Learning Club.
- To regularly communicate with parents, families, and youth ministry leaders regularly and intentionally in other churches, denominations, and non-profits, so that the youth have multiple opportunities to thrive.
- Encourage spiritual growth of the youth and volunteers.
- Seek creative methods to keep the youth motivated.
- To ensure our safeguarding policy is implemented across all our work with youth.
- To regularly train & support the volunteers of each of the youth groups.
- To proactively help recruit volunteers and other helpers for our youth groups.
- To explore ways in we can better serve the youth in our church and community.
- To support the wider church teams and projects.
- To support the current staff team in completing additional tasks, including specific support as required by the senior minister.
- To complete all administrative tasks for the youth ministry
- Keep an overall perspective of a quality, comprehensive ministry.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
- 3 years’ experience working in a Pentecostal church setting as a committed worker or volunteer in leadership.
- Qualification in youth work and theology
- Must be able to communicate in English & Swahili both in speaking & writing
- Fixed Term contract of 3 years, with a probation period of 6 months.
- A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to appointment
