Salary - £13,260 per annum

Revival House is a faith-based organisation and place of Christian worship; our beliefs are foundational to everything we do. The post-holder will be expected to share these beliefs, join in the spiritual life of the church and work actively to support our ministry and vision.

This post is key in enabling growth in the ministry and mission of Revival House. In line with our mission “Connect, Belong, Discover, Influence” and as well as providing effective administration within the church. The post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, better enabling us to serve our community.

This position requires an exceptional degree of professionalism and the ability to work in a demanding environment, where multi-tasking, sound decision making, self-motivation and discretion are essential.

Equally the post-holder will need confidence and proven organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Terms of appointment
  • 5 years’ experience working with children in a church setting as a committed worker or volunteer in Children’s’ Ministry.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood
  • Must be able to communicate in English & Swahili both in speaking & writing
  • A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to appointment

Minister of Religion (Tier 2)  Children's Pastor

Location: Manor Park,Newham

Revival House is looking to recruit an experienced Minister of Religion to join our expanding team here at Revival House being in charge of the Children Ministry .

Duties include:
Preaching and Teaching:        Lead Bible-based teachings and sermons during children’s services.        Ensure teachings align with the church’s doctrine.
Music Ministry (Kiswahili):
      Teach children Christian songs in Kiswahili, integrating faith and culture.
       Encourage participation in music during services and events.
Youth Curriculum Management:
        Develop and implement the Sunday School curriculum across all children’s classes.
        Ensure consistency and alignment of lessons with biblical teachings.
Prayer Meetings:
        Organize and lead prayer sessions for children.
        Encourage children to develop a personal prayer life.
Discipleship and Ordinances:
       Lead discipleship programs, preparing children for baptism and Holy Communion.
       Assist with the administration of baptism and communion for children.
Safeguarding:
      Ensure full compliance with church safeguarding policies.
      Conduct regular safeguarding training for volunteers.
Support to Senior Pastor:
      Assist the senior pastor in reviewing and updating children's teachings and programs.
      Provide feedback on children’s spiritual growth and program effectiveness.
Pastoral Care:
      Conduct home visits to provide pastoral care to children and their families.
      Offer spiritual guidance and support during visits.

MINIMUM SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must be a Christian with Pentecostal background.
Must have 5 years’ experience working as a minister of religion working with Children.
Must be committed to Christ and, have a passion for the people
Living a Christian life following Christian conduct.
An understanding of and commitment to the church’s mission statement and core values. 
Must be self -motivated, takes initiative, has creative skills.
Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
A willingness to work within church policies. On time for services and other meetings as required by the Pastor.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read & write Kiswahili is also desirable

Terms of appointment:

There is a probation of six months appointment
A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to appointment
Duration of employment: 3-year fixed term contract.

Youth Minister (Tier 2)

Revival House wishes to appoint an experienced Youth Minister.

This post is key in enabling growth in the ministry and mission of Revival House amongst the young people in the church and our community, and their discipleship. This is a leadership position and so would encompass taking a lead role in the youth ministry in line with our vision as well as providing effective administration within the church. The post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, better enabling us to serve our community.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to communicate in both English and Swahili (written and spoken).
  • Be willing to train church volunteers in your specific area of specialism in ministry.
  • Be willing to train and mentor young people.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

  • Excellent communication skills with a flexible and friendly attitude with young people. .

We are looking for a talented and driven creative content and graphic designer to join our growing team; you will be working across a wide variety of exciting productions – from religious communications, documentaries to high-end branded content, immersive media, and more. You will report to our senior editor in a full-time capacity and operate in a fast-paced, collaborative workplace. You will need to have active experience as a video editor, with enthusiasm about working on narrative-led, short-form documentaries and Christian content in English and Swahili. SKILLS REQUIRED
  • The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to communicate in both English and Swahili (written and spoken).
