The purpose of the role is to establish a strong biblical foundation in the lives of children by helping them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in their understanding of the Christian faith, discover their God-given gifts, and become committed lifelong disciples of Christ.

Due to the continued growth of Revival House Church and the expansion of ministry across both our London and Southend branches, the church requires two full-time Children’s Pastors. Each post-holder will have primary responsibility for leading and developing the Children’s Ministry within their assigned branch while working under the overall leadership and direction of the Senior Pastor to ensure consistency in biblical teaching, pastoral care, safeguarding, and ministry standards.

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver structured discipleship programmes that nurture children in their Christian faith and spiritual growth.
  • Lead children’s worship services, prayer meetings, Bible teaching sessions, holiday clubs, outreach activities, and special church programmes.
  • Provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, mentoring, and age-appropriate biblical counselling to children and pastoral support to their parents and guardians where appropriate.
  • Develop teaching resources, lesson plans, and discipleship materials that are consistent with the church’s Pentecostal doctrine, Statement of Faith, and overall vision.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise volunteer children’s ministry leaders, teachers, and helpers to ensure effective and consistent ministry delivery.
  • Encourage children to discover, develop, and use their spiritual gifts through active participation in church life and ministry.
  • Work closely with parents and families to strengthen Christian discipleship within the home and support children’s spiritual development.
  • Support the church’s evangelism strategy by developing outreach initiatives that engage children and young families within the local community and encourage their integration into the life of the church.
  • Ensure that all Children’s Ministry activities are delivered in accordance with the church’s safeguarding policies, statutory requirements, and recognised best practice.
  • Collaborate with the Family Pastor, Youth Pastor, Head of Discipleship & Training, Worship Ministry, and other ministry departments to provide a seamless pathway of spiritual growth from childhood through adulthood.
  • Participate in church leadership meetings, prayer gatherings, ministry planning sessions, conferences, and other church activities.
  • Assist the Senior Pastor in the overall pastoral leadership, spiritual oversight, and continued growth of Revival House Church.
