PRAYER POINTS FOR ADDICTION
Day 20 Of 21 Days Of Prayer And Fasting.
THE PAIN ADDICTION BRINGS TO FAMILIES
Addiction is never an isolated struggle. While one person may be bound, entire families often carry the weight of the battle. Addiction brings confusion, fear, broken trust, financial strain, emotional exhaustion, and deep heartache. Parents lie awake at night worrying. Spouses carry silent grief. Children learn to live with instability far beyond their years. Families are forced to navigate cycles of hope and disappointment, prayer and tears.
Many who struggle with addiction are not rebellious people but wounded ones—attempting to numb pain, silence trauma, or escape realities they feel unable to face. Behind the behaviour is often shame, fear, and a loss of identity. Families, meanwhile, are left asking difficult questions: How did this happen? How do we help without enabling? Will things ever change?
Yet Scripture reminds us that no bondage is stronger than the power of God, and no situation is beyond redemption. The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, a refuge for the weary, and a deliverer for those in chains. Today, we stand not in judgement but in intercession lifting both those struggling with addiction and the families who love them.
