PRAYER POINTS FOR GODS MERCY
DAY 5 Of 21 Days Of Prayer And Fasting .
Beloved, one of the most precious truths in Scripture is the mercy of God. God’s mercy is His compassionate love in action. It is God choosing not to treat us as our sins deserve, but instead drawing near to forgive, restore, and help us. Because God is merciful, we are never without hope. Because God is merciful, we can pray with confidence.
N.B -I would like to recommend a slightly different approach to these prayer points. After each Scripture, I have written a short prayer point.
Take your time to meditate slowly on each scripture . Let the Word settle in your heart, then pray the written prayer point in that same spirit and pattern.
Please don’t rush. Pray thoughtfully and consistently, and as you do, trust the Lord to meet you—He will surely bring results.
1. What Is God’s Mercy?
God’s mercy is His loving response to human weakness, sin, and need. It is God withholding judgement and extending grace. Mercy flows from who God is; it is not earned, and it is never exhausted.The Bible says:
“The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”

“He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.”
— Psalm 103:10 (NIV)
—Merciful Father, we worship You for who You are. Thank You that You are compassionate and gracious, and that You deal with us in mercy and love.”
2. God’s Mercy Is New Every Day
God’s mercy is not limited by yesterday’s failures. Each new day begins with fresh compassion from the Lord.
“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

—Lord, thank You that Your mercy meets us afresh today. We receive Your new mercies and rest in Your faithfulness.”
3. God’s Mercy Meets Us in Our Brokenness
Mercy does not wait for perfection. It finds us in our brokenness and lifts us into new life in Christ.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions.”

-Father, we bring our weaknesses and failures before You. By Your mercy, forgive us, restore us, and make us alive again in Christ.”
4. God’s Mercy Gives Us Confidence in Prayer
Because God is merciful, prayer is not a place of fear but a place of grace. We come, not as strangers, but as children.
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

-Father, we come boldly to Your throne today. Cleanse our hearts, forgive our sins, and release Your mercy and grace in every area of our lives.”
5. God’s Mercy Sustains Us on the Journey
Even when we fall, God’s mercy gives us strength to rise again and continue walking with Him.
“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.”
— Proverbs 24:16a (NIV)
—Oh Lord, where we have stumbled or grown weary, let Your mercy lift us. Strengthen us to walk faithfully and finish well.”
6. God’s Mercy Over Our Families, Church, and Nation
God’s mercy is not only personal; it extends to our homes, our church, and our land.
“But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.”

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

—Father, let Your mercy rest upon our families. Pour out Your mercy upon Your Church and heal our land as we humble ourselves before You.”
7. God’s Mercy Shapes How We Live and Love
Those who have received mercy are called to reflect it in their daily lives.
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
— Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
-Lord, give us merciful hearts. Teach us to forgive freely, to love deeply, and to live in a way that reflects Your mercy.”In Jesus Mighty Name.
Beloved, God’s mercy forgives our past, sustains our present, and secures our future. It is the reason we can pray, the reason we can hope, and the reason we can begin again.
“What does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
