PRAYER POINTS ON GOD’S FAVOUR

Day 6 of 21 Days of Prayer and FastingUnderstanding God’s Favour

Beloved, as we continue our journey of prayer and fasting, today we intentionally focus our hearts on God’s favour. This is not merely a spiritual concept; it is a divine reality that changes lives, alters destinies, and turns adversity into advantage.

God’s favour is not something we achieve by striving harder or proving ourselves worthy. It is something we receive by His mercy and grace. When the favour of God rests upon a person, doors open that strength cannot open, delays are broken, and divine help shows up at the right time.

What Is God’s Favour?

God’s favour is the tangible expression of His kindness, mercy, acceptance, and divine advantage upon a person’s life. It is God stepping into human situations and causing things to work together for good. God’s favour distinguishes His children, sustains them in difficult seasons, and brings ease where there should have been struggle.

Scripture reminds us clearly that victory does not come by human effort alone:

“For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.”
Psalm 44:3 (NKJV)

Because of this truth, we consciously shift our trust away from our abilities and place our confidence fully in the favour of God.

KEY TRUTHS ABOUT GOD’S FAVOUR

1. The Favour of God Enables You to Prosper

God’s favour brings preservation, fruitfulness, and increase—even in difficult environments.

“For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield.”
Psalm 5:12 (NKJV)

“For I will look on you favourably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.”
Leviticus 26:9 (NKJV)

Joseph’s life is a powerful testimony of favour at work. Despite rejection, betrayal, false accusation, and imprisonment, God’s favour never left him. Joseph later testified:

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…”
Genesis 50:20 (NIV)

Beloved, no matter how painful your current circumstances may be, remain thankful and humble before God. Praise Him in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18), and His favour will speak for you in due season.

2. You Can Provoke God’s Favour Through Prayer

God’s favour can be intentionally sought and activated through heartfelt prayer.

“Remember me, O LORD, when You show favor to Your people…”
Psalm 106:4 (AMPC)

“I entreated Your favor with my whole heart; be merciful to me according to Your word.”
Psalm 119:58 (NKJV)

Prayer aligns our hearts with God’s will and positions us to receive His mercy and favour.

3. Unity Provokes God’s Favour and Increase

Unity attracts divine favour and supernatural growth.

“…They had favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
Acts 2:46–47 (NKJV)

A united church and a united family become fertile ground for God’s favour.

4. Good Understanding Provokes God’s Favour

Walking in wisdom, integrity, and understanding draws God’s favour.

“Good understanding gains favor…”
Proverbs 13:15 (NKJV)

“He who earnestly seeks good finds favor…”
Proverbs 11:27 (NKJV)

PRAYERS FOR MERCY AND FAVOUR

The foundation of favour is mercy. We begin by asking God to refresh us with His mercy and establish the work of our hands.

“O satisfy us early with Your mercy… And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us.”
Psalm 90:14–17 (AMPC)

“You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come.”
Psalm 102:13 (NKJV)

By faith, we declare: this is our set time for favour.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
