Revival House wishes to appoint an experienced creative content and graphic designer in both video and audio.
We are looking for a talented and driven creative content and graphic designer to join our growing team; you will be working across a wide variety of exciting productions – from religious communications, documentaries to high-end branded content, immersive media, and more. You will report to our senior editor in a full-time capacity and operate in a fast-paced, collaborative workplace. You will need to have active experience as a video editor, with enthusiasm about working on narrative-led, short-form documentaries and Christian content in English and Swahili.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- The successful applicant will be required to have the ability to communicate in both English and Swahili (written and spoken).
- Be willing to train church volunteers in your specific area of specialism in ministry.
- Be willing to train and mentor young people interested in cultural arts, music, visual and sound elements of ministry.
- Coordinate technological and creative elements for all church services and church events.
- Design creative graphics to be used in social media and adverts.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a creative content and graphic designer in a production company or post-production environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a flexible and friendly client management style.
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize and make informed decisions in a religious environment.
- In-depth understanding of the moving image process.
- Ability to adapt your skills and approach to a broad range of project types.
- Exceptional people skills.
- Team Player.
OTHER REQUIREMENT NEEDED
- A degree/diploma qualification in creative content and graphic design
- Experience working in a church environment
- Leadership training
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills in both English and Swahili
- High technical knowledge to properly utilize equipment
- Be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Flexible in work schedule with awareness one will be required to work weekends, evenings and some bank holiday dates e.g. Easter, Christmas.
- Maintain professional attitude and approach to problem-solving
- Must be a person of high integrity and willing to support and promote the mission of Revival House.
- Be willing to work within different departments in the church as and when required.
- Be able to build confidence and offering leadership, particularly working with teens and young adults. As such the successful candidate must be deemed as posing no threat to the safety and welfare of children.
- Will work alongside the Minister in developing a vibrant worship culture and support in existing outreach projects as well as creating new mission opportunities.
Terms of appointment:
- There is probation of six months
- A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to the appointment
